[ALPHA] Orkestrix — Manage ASA Clusters Across Multiple Machines
Hi everyone,
I've been building Orkestrix, and I'm now looking for ARK: Survival Ascended cluster administrators willing to help test it during its Alpha phase.
Running a multi-map ASA cluster often means jumping between RDP sessions, SteamCMD, scripts, INI files, logs, mod updates and plugin folders.
Orkestrix brings those workflows together in one web dashboard.
IMPORTANT — ALPHA SOFTWARE
Orkestrix is currently in Alpha and under active development.
You should expect bugs, unfinished areas, interface changes and occasionally breaking changes. Please start with a test or non-critical server, keep independent backups, and do not use Orkestrix as your only control or recovery path for a critical production cluster yet.
The goal of this Alpha is to collect real feedback from server administrators and improve the platform around actual day-to-day workflows.
WHAT IS ORKESTRIX?
Orkestrix is a web-based management platform for ASA servers running on hardware you already own or rent. It does not provide the game-server hosting itself.
Install the Orkestrix Keeper agent on each Windows x64 host, pair it with your account using a temporary code, and then manage one or several machines, clusters and server instances remotely.
WHAT CAN BE TESTED TODAY?
• Install and manage ASA server instances through SteamCMD
• Start, stop, restart and update servers with visible task progress
• Monitor machine and server status, CPU, memory, storage, players, logs and activity
• Manage Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini with shared cluster settings and per-map overrides
• Keep a version history of configuration changes
• Manage mods, ARK Server API (AsaApi), plugins and plugin configurations centrally
• Run backups and restores
• Schedule restarts, updates, maintenance and RCON tasks
• Give team members access scoped to the clusters they manage
• Operate multi-map clusters spread across multiple Windows machines
AI ASSISTANTS THROUGH MCP
Orkestrix provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint that allows compatible AI assistants and automation agents to interact with your ASA infrastructure.
Once authenticated, an assistant can inspect clusters and server instances, review their status and configuration, and help perform supported management workflows through natural-language conversations.
MCP access remains limited by your Orkestrix roles and cluster permissions—it does not bypass the platform's access controls.
This integration is also in Alpha, so any sensitive or potentially destructive operation should be carefully reviewed before execution.
THE NATIVE ORKESTRIX PLUGIN
Keeper handles the machine and server lifecycle. The optional native Orkestrix plugin adds awareness of what is happening inside the game itself.
The plugin currently includes configurable modules such as:
• TribeLog capture and delivery to Discord or generic HTTPS webhooks
• Discord-to-EOS player account linking through an in-game verification code
• Dino commands to wake, grow or reset mating, including AOE commands
• Permission-group support and configurable usage limits for commands
• Farm session tracking with detailed resource collection
• Harvest bonuses based on tribe size and permission groups
• Instant dino XP after taming, adulthood or release from cryopods
• Configurable armor, durability and damage caps for items and saddles
• Player kill, dino kill and structure destruction event collection for leaderboards
• Guarded wild creature export with stats, colors and GeneTraits
• Wild creature population limits with a safe dry-run mode
• Configurable loot, engrams or commands when specific wild dinos are killed
• JSON snapshots of dinos, structures, items and installed mods
The plugin requires ARK Server API / AsaApi 2.0 or newer.
Advanced features such as TribeLogs, farm sessions, leaderboards and Discord linking may also require MariaDB. Features can be enabled individually, and destructive or intensive modules provide safety controls such as dry-run modes and guarded scans.
The plugin is also part of the Alpha testing process. I recommend enabling and validating one module at a time.
WHAT MAKES ORKESTRIX DIFFERENT?
Orkestrix is designed around clusters rather than isolated server folders.
You can define common INI settings, plugins and configurations once at cluster level, then override only what needs to be different for a specific map.
The same dashboard can operate servers distributed across several Windows machines, without turning every host into a separate management island.
Together, the web platform, Keeper agent and native plugin cover three different layers:
• Central cluster management
• Machine and server orchestration
• In-game data and community integrations
WHO AM I LOOKING FOR?
I'm especially interested in feedback from:
• Administrators running one or more Windows ASA hosts
• Multi-map or multi-machine cluster owners
• ARK Server API and plugin users
• People willing to test early software and report rough edges honestly
Feedback about onboarding, agent pairing, server installation, INI inheritance, mod/plugin deployment, monitoring, backups and the native plugin would be particularly useful.
ACCESS
A Free plan is currently available for testing with 1 machine, 1 cluster and up to 2 server instances. Larger plans are available for bigger environments.
