Z-Points — spend level-up points in bulk, no client mod

Clicking "+" fifty times to spend fifty points is nobody's idea of fun. Z-Points turns repeated clicks on the SAME stat into accelerating steps: clicks 1-5 add 1 point each, then 5 per click, then 10 per click. Pause two seconds — or click another stat — and it goes back to 1.

Because it hooks the server side of the level-up click, it needs no client mod: it works for every player, console included.

No game rule is bypassed: before every extra point the plugin asks ARK's own CanLevelUp() check. If only three points are left, three are spent. Z-Points never creates a point.

Works with the ZMenu mod (optional)
Coming soon: ZMenu in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish, German), chosen by each player with flags in the menu. This version is ready, but CurseForge has paused publishing for all ARK mods until the game's Unreal Engine 5.8 update: it will be released on November 5, 2026 at the earliest.

ZMenu is a free client mod by the same author: https://www.curseforge.com/ark-survival-ascended/mods/zmenu With ZMenu on your server, a Z-Points tab: players spend their own level-up points, or their dino's, without typing. Handy for console players.
  • ZMenu talks to the server through Z-Bridge, a free plugin made for it: it carries the menu clicks to the plugins and brings their answers back into the menu. Install Z-Bridge too, or the menu stays empty.
  • Each of these plugins adds its own tab to ZMenu: Z-Points the Z-Points tab, Z-Colour the Z-Colour tab, Z-Info the Z-Info tab, Z-Chat the Z-Link tab. A tab only shows when its plugin is installed.
  • Without ZMenu, everything still works through the chat commands below.

Install
Drop the Z-Points folder into ShooterGame/Binaries/Win64/ArkApi/Plugins/. Requires AsaApi 2.03+. Loads at server start.

Player commands
The click needs nothing. For big doses, /zp (on by default):
  • /zp — help, in the server's language (General.Language).
  • /zp <stat> <amount> — level the tamed dino you look at (yours or your tribe's), or yourself with no target. Mounted: your mount.
  • /zp aoe <radius> <stat> <amount> — every tamed dino of your tribe around you (radius in foundations, max 50).
  • /zp off / /zp on — a player can turn all of Z-Points off for themselves (fast clicks included). Remembered across restarts.
  • /zp msg top / /zp msg chat — each player chooses where their messages appear.
  • /points — short help about the click and the commands.

Stats: health stamina oxygen food water weight melee speed fortitude crafting. Dinos of another tribe are never touched. Large AOE jobs are spread over several server frames instead of causing a hitch.

Optional typed commands (off by default, ChatCommands.Enabled):
  • /lvl <stat> <amount> — yourself.
  • /dlvl <stat> <amount> — the dino you ride.
  • /pts <n> — a fixed step per click instead of the acceleration; /pts 0 goes back to automatic.

Configure (config.json)
  • General.Enabled — false puts the plugin to sleep without unloading it.
  • General.Language — language of player-facing texts: EN, FR, DE or ES, or your own block.
  • Texts.EN / FR / DE / ES — every player-facing text, per language, with placeholders. Accented characters display correctly — write naturally. A missing sentence falls back to English, never to an empty message.
  • Accelerator.WindowMs — chain window between clicks (default 2000 ms).
  • Accelerator.FastAfterClicks / FastStep — when the fast step kicks in, and how many points per click (defaults: after 5 clicks, 5 points).
  • Accelerator.TurboAfterClicks / TurboStep — the turbo step (defaults: after 15 clicks, 10 points).
  • Accelerator.TellPlayer — tell the player once how the acceleration works.
  • ZpCommand — the /zp block: Enabled, MaxRangeUnits (how far the targeted dino may be), LevelUpsPerFrame (anti-lag budget, all players combined).
  • ChatCommands — the optional /lvl, /dlvl, /pts commands (Enabled, MaxPerCommand).

Every block carries a _ line explaining it, and _help at the bottom sums it up.

RCON commands
  • ZPoints.Reload — re-reads config.json live: thresholds, steps and texts apply immediately, no restart.
  • ZPoints.Status — version, current settings and the measured cost of the click hook.

Notes
  • Server-side only; no database, no dependency.
  • Ctrl/Shift modifiers cannot be read server-side — that is why acceleration is time-based.
  • If Z-Messages is installed, messages follow its style sheet; otherwise the game's plain messages are used.

Compatibility
Built and tested against AsaApi 2.03 (ARK: Survival Ascended dedicated server, Windows).

External connections and data
  • No network connection. The plugin opens no connection of its own and sends nothing anywhere: no web request, no telemetry, no licence check, no update check.
  • Files written, all in its own folder (ArkApi/Plugins/Z-Points/): optout.json (EOS ids of the players who typed /zp off), msgstyle.json (EOS ids of the players who chose /zp msg chat), and config.json, rewritten only to rename setting names of older versions (values kept).
  • Files read: its own config.json only. Its messages go to the server log (AsaApi log).
  • When Z-Messages or Z-Bridge is loaded on the same server, Z-Points calls functions they export (message style, the player's menu language), inside the server process.
  • No registry access, no external program started, no other data collected.

Dependencies and limitations
  • No required dependency. Optional: Z-Messages (styled messages); the ZMenu client mod with Z-Bridge (the Z-Points tab).
  • One game hook, on the server side of the level-up click (ServerApplyLevelUp).
  • Ctrl/Shift cannot be read server-side: the acceleration is time-based.
  • Only the player's own character and the tamed dinos of their tribe can be levelled.

Updates
Z-ARK (server manager, https://z-ark.fr/en/) checks for new versions of this plugin and installs them from its dashboard.

Without Z-ARK: click Watch at the top of this page to be notified of every new version; what changed is listed in the Updates tab. To update, stop the server, replace the plugin's .dll and PluginInfo.json, keep your config.json, then start the server again.

Built with AI, knowingly
This plugin was written with an artificial intelligence, and we would rather say it plainly. It is not code thrown together at random: behind it is someone from the trade (software development, server operations, community management) who decides every feature, reviews it and puts it to the test on a real cluster, with real players, before it reaches you. The same goes for the ZMenu client mod. Bugs reported in the Discussion tab get fixed.
